Interview Preparation
Preparing for an interview
Job interviews are a 'two-way street' in that we are both hoping to find a mutually happy conclusion - you a rewarding job;
us a great member of the team.
Telephone Screen and testing
The first step is a phone call. No matter how you apply - in writing, by phone or online - we will always begin with a chat
over the phone. This lets you tell us a bit about yourself and the role you're looking for. If there is an opening which we
think will suit you, we'll invite you in for testing. This usually lasts about half an hour and is used to assess your numerical
skills - important in all of our jobs.
To prepare for this, you may find it useful to brush up on multiplication, division, percentages and fractions.
Once this assessment is completed successfully, if you are still interested in working with us we will ask you back for an
interview.
The interview
This is a face-to-face chat where we both have the opportunity to learn a bit more about each other and it's divided into
two parts. The first part is Job Fit and Interest in the role you're looking for; the second is a Phone Simulation exercise.
Job Fit and Interest
You will sit down with the hiring manager and someone who works in the area in which you have shown an interest. It's your
chance to tell us a bit about yourself, ask questions and really get to know what it will be like working with us.
Phone Simulation
This is where we let you have a go at being a call centre operator. You will have a number of calls which are based on the
many scenarios we experience every day in the call centre. The objective is to see whether you enjoy the work and judge how
you deal with various situations.
