Training and Development
Capital One is ranked fifth in Fortune magazine's 'Top companies for leaders'. This gives you an idea of how seriously we take your development. We're set up in a way that gives you real responsibility from day one, so you have the best possible opportunity to progress quickly. This is because we know the more you grow, the more our business grows.
Year One
On joining, you'll receive an intensive induction to help you settle in, meet the team and bring your technical and presentation skills up to speed. After that, you'll be ready to hit the ground running. We'll start you off with a live, three-month project to put your new knowledge into practice and develop your skills in the real world.
The rest of your first year will be spent really getting to know your new role. Then once you've mastered it, you'll start rotating around our business, doing a new role every six to nine months. That way, you'll get to experience different areas, meet new teams and broaden your skill set.
Support and Mentoring
We ask a lot of you. But you won't be on your own. We're passionate about developing our graduates into future senior leaders. When you start, you'll be mentored by both your manager and a recent joiner. A director will also take a particular interest in your development. And our open plan office and easy-going culture mean that if you ever have a question or need some advice, all you have to do is ask.
We believe in fast-tracking high performers. Once you're promoted to Senior Manager, we'll sponsor you through an MBA at a top business school.
Perform really well and you could even be chosen to join our Credit College, where you get the chance to learn from world experts in the field. Held every year in the US, it's designed to help our very best analysts become prominent leaders and decision-makers.
