Working with us
We truly believe in helping you make the most of your talents and furthering your career.
Your manager takes an active interest in you and your development, helping shape your career to fit your goals. Every week you'll have what we call a 10/10. This is where you and your manager sit down and chat together - each having time to talk about the things that are important to you. Together you'll map out your objectives, how well you're meeting them and, if it's appropriate, what training you can receive to help you progress.
We have our own Capital One University. This uses a mixture of classroom-based lessons, on the job training and online learning. So whether you want to know the specifics of Chip and Pin technology, the latest compliance issues or take a leadership course, you'll be right up to date. And to back this up, there is our in-house Learning Zone which has information on everything from speaking a foreign language, self-development, learning to cook with Jamie Oliver to classic novels. Furthermore, if there's a particular skill you'd like to develop, it could be nurtured through our Educational Assistance Programme, which will cover 100% of your tuition costs.
While you shape your own career, we're right behind you all the way. When you've proven yourself in your role and are keen to stretch yourself by taking on new challenges, you can apply for any internal positions on our internal vacancy site. Your manager will work alongside you to help you get the position. It's all part of the teamwork that makes us a stronger business and a great place to work.
