Richard D. Fairbank, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

Richard Fairbank is founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Capital One Financial Corporation.
Mr. Fairbank began his career in 1981 with Strategic Planning Associates, spending a total of seven years consulting in different
industries.
Based on his belief that information and technology would change the world of consumer marketing, Mr. Fairbank developed the
idea that would ultimately become Capital One's hallmark - its Information Based Strategy (IBS). IBS combines the power of
information, technology and testing to bring customized solutions to consumers.
Mr. Fairbank recruited fellow SPA consultant, Nigel Morris, to help find a sponsor for IBS in the credit card industry. In
1988, Richmond, Virginia-based Signet Bank agreed to implement the strategy. In 1994, Signet decided to spin-off its credit
card business as Capital One Financial Corporation, and Mr. Fairbank became Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Capital
One.
Capital One rapidly became one of the largest credit card issuers in the United States . Over the years, Capital One expanded
into new products and markets and created one of the most recognized brands in the United States. Today, Capital One is a
diversified Fortune 200 company with more than 48 million accounts world-wide offering a wide variety of financial services,
including credit cards, auto loans, instalment loans, small business loans, home equity loans, and savings products.
Throughout his career, Mr. Fairbank has received many honours and awards including being named "Best CEO" in specialty finance
by Institutional Investor magazine and "Business Leader of the Year" by Washingtonian Magazine.
Since February 2004, Mr. Fairbank has served as a Director on MasterCard International's Global Board of Directors. Prior
to that, Mr. Fairbank served on the U.S. Region Board of Directors of MasterCard from March of 1995 until February 2004, serving
as its Chairman from March of 2002 until February of 2004.
Mr. Fairbank graduated from Stanford University with a degree in economics and received an MBA from the Stanford Graduate
School of Business.
Srini Gopalan, Managing Director, Europe

Srini Gopalan joined Capital One in 1999 as a business manager in Customer Management. During this time he gained an operational
understanding of credit risk and Capital One's Information Based Strategy (IBS).
Srini spent 2002 working on the strategy and subsequent sale of one of our businesses in Continental Europe, before returning
to the UK in 2003 to take over as the Head of Marketing and Analysis for the Prime credit card market. In 2004, Srini was
appointed as Head of Marketing & Analysis for our UK Card Business, before being promoted to Vice President and Head of the
division in 2005. Srini joined the bank's European Leadership Team and was promoted to the head of the UK Business in December
2007.
Before joining Capital One, Srini gained general management and marketing experience at Accenture (Strategic Services) and
Unilever. He completed his MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, in Ahmedabad, in 1992.
Srinivasan also has a Bachelors degree in Economics.
Brian Cole, Managing Vice President, CFO Europe/CFO Capital One International

Brian joined Capital One 11 years ago, first as a financial analyst in the company's cellular reselling start up where he
spent 2 years. In 1999, Brian transferred to US Card to manage the finance unit for one of the company's smaller credit card
portfolios. Brian next took the role of CFO, US Superprime credit card, before initiating and leading the first portfolio
management function in Global Finance in 2002. In this role, he was responsible for US Card budgeting, financial analysis
and contributed to strategic planning and target setting for the division. Brian later moved back toward the lines of business
as VP, CFO for the Upmarket US Card portfolio, supporting the General Manager in management of the financial performance of
the business unit for 18 months. In September 2005 Brian began his role as MVP, CFO Capital One Europe, one which has since
been expanded to include responsibilities for the Canada business finance unit as CFO, Capital One International.
Prior to his Capital One career, Brian was employed by a large regional bank in the US, First Union, since acquired by Wachovia
Corporation, and worked in commercial underwriting and portfolio management.
Brian earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies from Virginia Tech University in 1993.
Kevin Hogarth, Managing Vice President, Human Resources

Kevin initially joined Capital One in June 2001 as the Human Resource Director, Resourcing.
Today he heads up the European HR function and is accountable for the development and implementation of the HR strategy. In
addition he is responsible for the Internal Communications function and has local responsibility for Corporate Real Estate.
Before joining Capital One, Kevin worked for Ernst & Young as National Resourcing Director and prior to that, he held various
HR positions with Abbey National, National and Provincial Building Society and The Boots Company Plc.
Kevin is a graduate of the University of York where he studied Politics and a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute
of Personnel and Development. He is married with twins.
Vicky Mitchell, Chief Risk Officer

As Chief Risk Officer, Vicky is responsible for managing Capital One's various Risk functions to ensure best practice is maintained
throughout the business.
Prior to this role, Vicky led the Legal Department, which she set up when she joined Capital One in 1997, and the Compliance
Department. Vicky is also the Company Secretary for Capital One Bank (Europe) plc.
Vicky's areas of expertise are in consumer lending, banking regulation and general commercial law. In addition to her current
role, Vicky sits on the European Leadership Team, where she is jointly responsible for setting the strategy, management, and
direction of the European business.
Previously, Vicky had worked in the Banking Department at Wilde Sapte (a leading firm of solicitors in London) where she had
helped establish the UK branch of Capital One. Vicky obtained her law degree at the University of Birmingham in 1986 and was
called to the Bar in 1988.
Ray Frigo, Chief Operating Officer

Ray Frigo is the Chief Operating Officer of Capital One Europe. In this role, which he has held since November 2006, he is
responsible for Capital One's technology and operations teams, as well as infrastructure strategy.
Ray joined Capital One in the US in 2002. Prior to his current role he was the Divisional Information Officer for Capital
One in the US, where he was accountable for technology strategy and delivery for Capital One's Global Financial Services businesses.
These businesses include Capital One in the United Kingdom; Canada and Small Business; Capital One Savings, Direct Consumer
Lending, and Capital One Point-of-Sale; and multiple partnerships.
Before joining Capital One, Ray held leadership positions at a technology start up, Compaq Computer Corporation, Gemini Consulting
and Amoco Corporation.
Ray has an MBA in Finance and Business Policy from the University of Chicago and a degree in Economics and Computer Science
from Macalester College. He has also completed General Course studies at the London School of Economics.
Ray lives in Nottingham with his wife and two children.
David Wright, Managing Vice President, European IT

David joined Capital One's European business in August 2006 as Chief Information Officer. In this role, he is responsible
for management of the IT function and the strategic delivery of technology solutions to our lines of business and staff functions.
Having joined Capital One in 1999, David has held a number of executive positions supporting our North American businesses,
including his most recent role as Managing Vice President for Enterprise Data Center Services. Prior to joining Capital One,
he worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond for 10 years in various IT development, planning and management roles.
David holds a Masters of Business Administration and a B.S. in Information Systems from Virginia Commonwealth University as
well as a Masters of Science in the Management of IT from the University of Virginia. He is also a graduate of the Virginia
Bankers Association School of Bank Management.
David lives in Nottingham with his wife and children.

Adam Broadbent - Non-Executive Director

In addition to being a non-executive director of Capital One Bank ( Europe ) plc since 2000, Adam Broadbent was Chairman of
EMAP plc until 2006 and of Arcadia Group from 1998 to 2002. He was Chairman of the Dover Harbour Board from 1996 to 2000,
a Director of Carclo plc from 1997 to 2003 and of REL Consultancy Group Limited between 1997 and 2005. Prior to this he held
various roles with Schroders from 1968 to 1996, the last of these being Group Managing Director Investment Banking based in
New York. He is a director of the Academy of Ancient Music.
Adam is married with four children and holds an MA from Magdalen College Oxford in modern history and an MSc in economics
from the London School of Economics.
Alan Hughes - Non-Executive Director

Alan Hughes joined the Capital One board as a Non Executive Director in February 2008. He was Chief Executive of First Direct
from 1999 to 2004 and a General Manager of HSBC Bank plc from 1997 with responsibility for brand, marketing, products, pricing
and customer service. Previously he was responsible for HSBC's receivables financing business and has 35 years experience
in retail banking.
He is currently a board member of a number of organisations, including the Cabinet Office Delivery Council and the UK Identity
and Passport Service. He is also a member of the Advisory Board at Leeds University Business School and a visiting lecturer
at Warwick University. Mr Hughes holds an MBA from Henley Management College.
