The most common reason is that you’ve checked your eligibility for a credit card in the last 12 months. This could have been directly with Capital One through our QuickCheck service, or through one of our partners, like Money Supermarket, Total Money, Clearscore or Ocean Finance. Don’t worry! Only you can see the search on your report. It won’t show up to other organisations - so there is no impact to your credit rating. If however you have made a full application for a Capital One credit card, then you may see a ‘credit search’ on your credit report. What if I see a search on my credit report, but haven’t used an eligibility checker? Give us a call on 03444 812 812. Calls may be recorded/monitored for training purposes.
