The most common reason for a 'quotation search' appearing is that you've checked your eligibility for a credit card in the last 12 months. You might have done this directly with Capital One using our QuickCheck eligibility checker, or via one of our partners, like Money Supermarket, Total Money, Clearscore or Ocean Finance. It's what's called a 'soft search'. It leaves no permanent mark on your credit report and can't be seen by anyone other than you and the credit reference agency providing your credit score. It'll disappear after 12 months. If you make a full application for a Capital One credit card, you'll see a 'credit search', also known as a 'hard search', on your credit report. What if I see a search on my credit report, but haven’t used an eligibility checker? Give us a call on 03444 812 812. Calls may be recorded/monitored for training purposes.
