Amy Lenander

Head of International and UK CEO, Capital One UK

As Head of International and CEO of Capital One UK, Amy leads all aspects of Capital One's UK business and also has overall responsibility for Capital One Canada.

Amy and her team set and execute the business strategy while delivering strong risk-adjusted returns. Amy is passionate about creating an environment where people can leverage technology in innovative ways to support our millions of customers.

Prior to her role as Head of Capital One UK, Amy was the UK's Chief Marketing Officer, which included responsibility for underwriting, analytics, and product development. She began her Capital One career in 2003 as an analyst at our enterprise headquarters in McLean, Virginia, USA. While in McLean, Amy worked in both the Card and Personal Loan parts of the US business, leading teams across product development, underwriting, and marketing.

Amy is Chair of the Cards Board at UK Finance, the country's leading financial services trade association. She is a Fellow of the 2019 class of the Aspen Finance Leaders Fellowship and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network. Amy was named Banker of the Year at the Women in Finance Awards in June 2018, for demonstrating a contribution to strong financial performance, innovation in new products and services and proactively championing gender diversity.

Raised in New Jersey, Amy earned her magna cum laude undergraduate degree in Economics from Harvard University. She also earned an M.B.A., with honours and distinction, from Columbia University. She's a big fan of musical theatre.

    Chief Operations and Technology Officer

    Rob's career began as a consultant for the National Grid Group. He moved to East Midlands Electricity in 1996 where he held a variety of analyst and IT roles within their Energy Trading department.

    Rob joined the Capital One IT Team in 1999. He was made head of IT architecture and programme delivery in 2008 and became Chief Information Officer in 2010. In 2013 Rob featured within CIO magazine's list of the top 100 transformative CIOs in the UK.

    Rob has a first class honours degree in Physics from the University of Nottingham.

    Chief Marketing Officer

    Lucy became Chief Marketing Officer in January 2017. She is accountable for all Capital One’s UK in-market activity including our partnerships, brand and direct marketing; product and design; and customer management activity. Lucy grew up in Oldham and joined Capital One from Cambridge University in 2000 as part of our graduate programme. She held a variety of analytical roles across the organisation, including 5 years setting strategy in Risk Operations, before joining the Marketing team in 2011. Lucy cares deeply about creating products and experiences that are ground-breaking in their transparency and make a real difference for our customers.

  • Jeremy Penzer

    Jeremy Penzer

    Chief Analytics Officer and Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer

    Jeremy joined Capital One in 2007 and has played a number of roles focusing on data, modelling and decision making. As Chief Analytics Officer, he is responsible for data science, data analysis and underwriting for the UK business. He also plays a leading role in developing and delivering our technology strategy. Jeremy is Capital One UK's Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer, leading on all aspects of D&I across the business. Jeremy started his career at the London School of Economics where he specialized in time series analysis and computational statistics. He has a degree in Mathematics from Oxford University, a masters degree in Operational Research, a masters degree in Computing Science, and a PhD in Statistics.

    Head of Human Resources

    Mike joined Capital One UK as Head of Human Resources in June 2017. He is accountable for all Human Resource activities including Talent Acquisition, Development, HR Operations and Internal Communications.

    Mike has worked for our parent US business in various HR capacities since 1998. He has a passion for people leadership, and fostering a diverse and inclusive culture where our associates can do the best work of their careers.

  • Rupert MacInnes

    Rupert MacInnes

    Chief Counsel

    Rupert trained as a solicitor at London's "Magic Circle" law firm Allen & Overy, where he went on to work in their banking and finance litigation team.

    Rupert joined the Capital One Legal team in 2002, looking after market facing activity, litigation and regulatory work. He was made Head of Legal in 2007, Chief Risk Officer in 2011 and Chief Counsel UK in 2015. Rupert has responsibility for the UK Legal and Compliance functions as well as regulatory relations, external affairs and corporate social responsibility, and is the senior sponsor for the business's sustainability and environmental agenda. He is also Company Secretary.

    Rupert is a qualified solicitor, has a degree in law from the University of Southampton and an MBA from Imperial College Management School.

  • Richard Rolls

    Richard Rolls

    Head of Risk Management

    Richard joined Capital One in 2002 in the Internal Audit department, where he worked for five years before taking on the running of a variety of operational departments. In 2016 he moved to his current role, looking after Risk Management, Process Excellence and Vulnerability.

    As well as having a Physics degree from the University of Nottingham, Richard is a qualified Chartered Accountant. Before coming to Capital One he was at PwC for several years working in their audit and management consultancy divisions, dealing with airlines and significant change programmes.

Helene Brichet

Helene Brichet

Chief Financial Officer

Helene joined Capital One in 2019. She started her career in financial audit at Price Waterhouse in Paris, before moving in to financial services where she has spent over 20 years.

Helene joined from EVO Payments, where she was CFO Europe. Prior to that, she spent over 16 years at Visa Europe in various senior finance and commercial roles, including as head of pricing, head of corporate strategy and most recently as head of strategic partnerships and corporate development. She also served as group financial controller in the leasing arm of Barclays bank.

She graduated from the London School of Economics and holds an MBA from EDHEC Business School. She gained her accountancy qualifications whilst at Price Waterhouse.
